Tim Allen is a Singer/Songwriter from Preston Lancashire. He has performed all over the world in different guises. It all started in the North west of England playing many shows in Legendary venues such as The Cavern Club, Manchester’s Night and day and Academy and a slot at Leeds festival with “The Little Kings”. Living in London saw him playing such venues as ‘The Dublin Castle’ and ‘Bush Hall’ . Tim has released two singles with Kiwi band “Stormporter” where they received radio play and play listing on national music T.V and most recently has been on three international tours of south east Asia playing, Singapore, Hongkong, Malaysia and the Philippines with N.Z band “Hangar 18” which saw the band sign a 15 country wide deal with MCA music(universal music Philippines). Hangar 18 also toured the whole of N.Z and played to 4000 people on new year’s eve 2018 as part of the Marlborough ignites festival in Picton.
As a solo artist he has released Two E. P’s, “Nowhere to Go” 2008 Self released), “Wandering” 2009 The animal Farm) and a full length Album “Its All About Time” 2013 some time records which was produced by Alan Gregson (Cornershop). He has recently finished recording his Second full Length album in N.Z with his band and local legend ‘Nick Abbott’(Pluto, Goldenhorse, Crowded House ,Bic Runga) who’s recording , mixing or production credits are far too many to mention.
The new album “The Last Bastion of a Lad’ is to be released on N.Z label Songbroker and distributed by The Orchard/sony music. Songbroker is owned by Kiwi songstress Jan Hellriegel and is host to some of New Zealand’s best talent.
Tim is currently booking Live shows with his very tasty band which comprises of Kiwi legends, Ben King ( Goldenhorse), Milan Borich, (Pluto) Matthias Jordan (Pluto, pyjama club) and Jonathan Burgess .The sound of the new material and the band is very much steeped in U.K culture .Oasis ,kinks ,The Beatles, Paul Weller e.tc with a kiwi twist. The Band will be touring the U.K July 2020 to promote the new album.
